The fisherman smock is a classic, square based garment that was often made out of scraps and - because of the square shapes - ensured you could use every last bit of fabric.
This Noa fisherman smock is made out of stunning Japanese Sakiori panels. Sakiori means 'to tear and weave' and is a traditional Japanese form of textile recycling. When cloth is beyond almost any other use, it can be torn into strips and re-woven into Sakiori panels, which can be used to make clothing or blankets.
The panels consist of silk and cotton scraps in beautiful plantdyed hues (mostly madder and indigo).
Unique piece, only one available. Fits size small-medium best.
Garment measurements:
Chest: 58 cm / 22,5'' | Arm length (from neck): 60 cm / 23,5'' | Total length: 54 cm / 21,5''
